Courtney Starks
Head Instructor
Courtney started gymnastics at the age of 3 through 13 and was a competitive gymnast for the Pikes. After her gymnastics career she became a cheerleader at Canyon High School and was an All-American Cheerleader her senior year. Courtney has taught team, pre-team, recreational, & cheer for the last 13 years. After high school she received an AS in Math/Science at COC& BS in Kinesiology at CSUN. She is Safety Certified, CPR/First Aid, & KAT certified. Courtney has been a preschool teacher, volunteered for handicapped children, worked at a chiropractic office, taught at the Air Force Academy Sports Camp, taught at Fun & Fit Gymnastics Center, & at Gleason's Gymnastic School in Minnesota. Courtney is also a USAG Certified Meet Director. |

Jodie Hegge
Instructor
Jodie has been an instructor for 20 years and has taught many levels of recreational gymnastics. This has been part of her whole family's growth. Her four children grew up in the gymnastics environment. They have used their talents in activities through school. Jodie is KAT, Safety certified, CPR, and First aid certified. In her spare time she enjoys riding her horse, raising Chihuahuas, anything to do with the outdoors, hiking, camping, etc. Her newest joy is spending time with her granddaughter and supporting her teenagers in their school sports. |

Kelly Kozlowski
Instructor
Kelly started gymnastics at the age of 2 through 13 and was a Level 8 competitive gymnast for the Pikes team. She currently attends Saugus High School and is an enthusiastic J.V. cheerleader. After high school Kelly plans on attending UCLA to become a pediatrician. She has taught pre-school, recreational, and cheer tumbling classes at Gymnastics Unlimited for the last 2 years. In her spare time she enjoys cheerleading, gymnastics, dancing and music. |

Nicole Plouffe Instructor
Nicole started gymnastics at the age of 3 through 12 and was a Level 5 competitive gymnast for the Pikes team. She graduated Valencia High School in 2007 and was a 4-year cheer captain. She currently attends College of the Canyons and plans on majoring in either nursing or becoming a film editor. She has taught recreational, pre-team, and cheer/ tumbling for the past 3 years. In her spare time she enjoys going to the beach, working out, and motocross. Nicole also maintains certificates from the USA Coaching Certification in Women's Artistic Levels 1, 2 & 3. |

Katie Nailling
Instructor
Katie is a Junior at Valencia High School and a Varsity Cheerleader. She has been a student at Gymnastics Unlimited since the age of 3. She recently joined the staff as a coach and summer camp counselor. |

Ola Gilkey
Team Coach/Pre Team Coach
Ola was a competitive gymnast and has been teaching for the last 13 years. For the past 2 years she has been a part of the Gymnastics Unlimited staff. She is currently working with the Advanced pre team and the Compulsory Competitive Pikes team. She is a USAG Professional Member, Safety Certified, & CPR/First aid certified. Some of her other accomplishments have been attending El Camino College, Recreational Director, Meet Director, and a volunteer for the World Gymnastics Championships in 2003. Ola's hobbies include dance, drawing, and writing. |

George Engbrecht
Boy's Instructor
George accomplishments include having a BA in Physical Education & NCAA Rings Champ at UCLA. He has also been a Head coach at Sunland Gym Club & Head coach at North Hollywood High School. His schooling includes having a BA & MA. He also has his teaching credentials and administrative credential. His favorite hobbies include skiing and sailing. |

Vanessa Atler
Head Team Coach
Vanessa started gymnastics at the age of 5 at Gymnastics Unlimited and became a National Team member in 1994-2001. She was home schooled and graduated high school in 2000. Vanessa's accomplishments include being the 1996 Junior national Champion, 1997 Senior National Co-Champion, 1998 Goodwill Games Double Gold Medalist, 1999 World Championships Team, & 2000 Senior Pacific Alliance Team. Her favorite events include the Balance Beam & Uneven Bars. She now resides at Gymnastics Unlimited as the Head Team Coach for the Pikes. In her spare time Vanessa enjoys to read and watch old movies. |

Nathan Kapusta
Instructor/Team Coach
Nathan comes to us from Gymnastics World in New Jersey where he was a Class II competitive gymnast and coach. He is currently working in both our recreational facility and with the Pikes and looks forward to the challenge of the current competitive season.

Tricia Niedzielska
Instructor
Tricia has been a coach at Gymnastics Unlimited for the past 6 years. She loves the sport and was a former gymnast. She is a substitute teacher with the Newhall School District and hopes to gain a full time position soon. |

Lindsay Viera
Instructor/Pre-team Coahc/Office Staff
Lindsay is a USA Gymnastics Professional Member. She is also Safety Certified, a Certified Health Care Provider through American Heart Association. She has been CPR and First Aid certified since 2003. Her past experience includes being an Elementary After School Tutor, Dance Instructor (beginning-advance level), After School Enrichment Cheer Classes, Team coach and Office Manager at Anti Gravity. She was a former competitive gymnast at Santa Clarita School of Gymnastics. Lindsay enjoys dancing. She competed at an advance level for 7 years-- helped win national titles 3 years in a row for Saugus High School, was the captain of the Saugus High School Dance Team in her senior year. She also enjoys wake boarding, going dirt bike riding, beach camping, and swimming. She attends College of the Canyons and is working on a Bachelors in Kinesiology. Lindsay also maintains certificates from the USA Coaching Certification in Women's Artistic Levels 1, 2 & 3. |

Louise has been in the Office at GU for over 3 years and is the happy face who greets our students and parents every day. She is also a former Pikes Mom and mother to Nicole who is one of our coaches. |

Mira Book
Instructor
Mira comes to GU with over 25 years of gymnastics coaching experience. She was a team coach and recreational coach at Stars Gymnastics Training Center for 9 years. She also taught tumbling to students at California State University at Bakersfield's Physical Education and Kinesiology Department. Mira was also a team and recreational coach at American Academy of Gymnastics for 15 years. She was also the Program Director of Instruction of the YMCA and YWCA. We are proud to have Mira's many years of gymnastics at GU. |

Anne Davidson
Gym Maintenance/Sanitation Specialist
Anne and her husband Carl have faithfully been cleaning both GU facilities for many years. She gained her position when her daughter became part of the competitive team and has been keeping GU sparkly clean ever since. GU boasts one of the cleanest facilities in Los Angeles County.
